Privacy Policy – EnsoVPN
We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how EnsoVPN (“Service”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. We use email-based login, collect only minimal service data, and never log sensitive content.
Zero activity logs: we do not keep browsing history, DNS queries, traffic content, or source/destination IP logs. Minimal data only: we retain just account email/subscription/payment metadata, aggregated service metrics (e.g., total data, connection success, VPN location choice, device/app version, date-level timestamps), and anonymized crash/error diagnostics for support and reliability.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not log your browsing history, DNS queries, websites visited, or content of communications.
- We do not keep source IP addresses or assignable VPN IP history linked to you.
- We do not inspect or monitor traffic content passing through the VPN tunnel.
2. Information We Collect (Minimal)
We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service, support your account, and improve quality:
- Account (email login): your email for sign-in, subscription status, and support.
- Payment basics: plan, status, and transaction references handled by third-party processors; we do not store full card details.
- Service metrics: aggregate data per account such as total data transferred, connection success/failure, VPN location selected, device/app version, and timestamps aggregated to date level. These metrics help you view your usage and allow us to improve reliability; they do not include websites visited, DNS queries, or source/destination IPs.
- Basic diagnostics: anonymized crash logs and connection error codes for troubleshooting.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including email-based access and subscription management.
- To display your own usage metrics (e.g., total data transferred, connection counts).
- To process payments and handle customer support.
- To improve performance and reliability using aggregate metrics and optional diagnostics.
- To send essential service updates; marketing messages are limited and can be opted out.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Traffic is encrypted in transit; account and metric data are stored with access controls and encryption at rest where applicable.
- Infrastructure is hardened with access controls and encryption; VPN servers do not retain traffic, browsing, DNS, or IP logs.
- We retain minimal account/subscription data only as long as needed to provide the Service or meet legal requirements.
- Service metrics are aggregated and purged on a rolling basis; no browsing/DNS/IP logs are kept.
- Diagnostic data remains anonymized.
5. Sharing of Information
- We do not sell or rent user data.
- Payment processing is handled by trusted third-party processors; only necessary billing metadata is shared.
- We may share minimal required data to comply with valid legal requests, subject to applicable law.
- Legal requests are handled with least disclosure; no browsing/DNS/IP logs exist to provide.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to:
- Access, update, or delete your account data.
- Request information on how your data is used.
- Withdraw consent for optional data collection and marketing.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Policy.
